Abacus Executive Chef, Chris Patrick has been looking forward to this since the extraordinary success of last year's event! Veuve Clicquot is a French Champagne house based in Reims, specializing in premium products. Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot-Muiron, Veuve Clicquot played an important role in establishing champagne as a favored drink of haute bourgeoisie and nobility throughout Europe. Veuve Clicquot champagne has been featured in numerous films including Casablanca and Babette’s Feast.

Fearing's Hosts Another Chefs for Farmers Event with their Fall Harvest Backyard Fest!
Fearing’s Restaurant, known for its “Elevated American Cuisine and home of Bold Flavors, No Borders,” is joining Chefs For Farmers to bring Fearing’s Fall Harvest Backyard Fest at the Ritz Carlton, Dallas. Participating chefs include nationally known Wolfgang Puck, Robert Del Grande, Norman Van Aken and Dean Fearing.
Since its opening in 2007, Fearing’s has been named “Restaurant of the Year” and “Table of the Year” by Esquire Magazine, and #1 in Hotel Dining in the U.S. by the Zagat Survey. The restaurant was nominated by the James Beard Foundation as Best New Restaurant and it is currently included on top national lists by TheDailyMeal.com, Gayot.com and many other influential food media. The evening will begin with top-shelf cocktails and perfectly paired wine will be served with a family style dinner.
Fearing’s Fall Harvest Backyard Fest includes a cocktail reception followed by a family-style dinner with entrees fusing flavors from each of the award-winning chefs.

The 4th annual Park & Palate’s Grand Taste fundraising event will take place on Saturday, October 27th from Noon to 4 p.m. at Klyde Warren Park.

When Chef Pyles announced he was opening Flora Street Cafe, he was teased that he was swimming against the tide with a fine-dining restaurant. Obviously, those naysayers were way off base.

On Sunday, October 21st, The French Room hosts the first ever Friends of the James Beard Benefit dinner held in Dallas, supporting the next generation of great American chefs.
Set for Oct. 21, the restaurant’s newly appointed executive chef, Anthony Dispensa, will bring together his former culinary mentors, including Bradley Ogden, James Beard Foundation Best California Chef and Restaurant of the Year winner, and some of the city’s most celebrated local chefs to raise money for the next generation of great American chefs.
The evening will begin with a Champagne reception in The French Room Bar followed by an eight-course seated dinner in the dining room featuring exquisite wine pairings by The French Room’s sommelier, Leslie Hartman. For this special evening, each participating chef creates a course highlighting the ingredients of fall – ultimately creating a menu that is a true culinary collaboration by some of the country’s best chefs.
For one evening, top culinary talents from across the country collaborate to create an unforgettable celebration benefiting the James Beard Foundation and its programs. Each of the Foundation’s diverse programs, inclusive of educational initiatives, scholarships for culinary students, chef advocacy training and more, help to further its mission to create, nurture and honor chefs.

Chef Stephan Pyles Hosts 2018 Harvest Fundraiser Kick-Off Party At His Flora Cafe.
Not only was Chef Stephan Pyles the honorary Chair for the North Texas Food Bank‘s 5th Annual Harvest, he was also the mastermind behind their VIP gathering the night of the fundraiser.
The North Texas Food Bank provides more than 190,000 meals each day for hungry children, seniors and families across a 13-county service area. The North Texas Food Bank recently launched a 10-year plan to provide access to 92 million nutritious meals annually by 2025.
Chef Pyles has been a committed partner with the North Texas Food Bank for the last 30 years.
