The Twelve Days of Christmas Come Alive in Dallas

Holiday at the Arboretum features the delightful 12 Days of Christmas outdoor exhibit that you and your children simply must see this year. The scene is set like something from a Hollywood movie. Victorian gazebos encase life-size costumed figures that bring each day of the traditional Christmas carol to life. The 12 Days of Christmas beautifully animate Three French Hens and Seven Swans a Swimming, but the ladies dancing, pipers piping and such are captivatingly life like!

Daytime hours for the 12 Days of Christmas is 9am to 5pm through December 31st.

From 10am to 4pm,  you can also enjoy “The Artistry of the Nativity,” in the historic DeGolyer House with its 500 crèches from over 50 countries representing so many cultures from around the world. In addition to the Ray Harrington and the Joe Christian collections, which the Arboretum owns, the private collections of Joyce and Larry Lacerte, Dan and Lydia Novakov, and a life-size crèche from Mary and Mike Terry, will also be on display. This is a unique opportunity to see these nativities as they have never been on public display before now. Additionally, every room in the DeGolyer House will be elaborately decorated fro Christmas.

The botanical garden re-opens at 6pm for evening hours for 12 Days of Christmas at Night exhibit, which is on display Wednesday through Sunday beginning November 9 through December 30.

With 500,000 lights illuminating throughout the garden, trimming the architecture of the historic homes and lighting the canopies overhead-including a 30-foot-tall tree at the center of property, this display is sure to warm the hearts of guests this Christmas Season.
